ConVex 2.0 — operation, menu reference, TCR setup, and maintenance.

Getting Started

1. Press the fire button 5 times to turn the device on or off
2. When the screen is in timeout, pressing any button will turn it back on

Adjusting Temp and Wattage

1. While on the home screen, clicking up / down toggles temp selection
2. Adjust to your preferred temp, then press fire to enter wattage selection
3. Select your preferred wattage, then press fire again to disengage

Menu Access

1. Press the fire button 5 times on the home screen to enter the menu
2. Use up / down to navigate
3. MODE — selects Wattage or Temp Control mode
4. CURVES — gives the option for temp curve control throughout the duration of firing
5. S-BOOST — allows for a few seconds of wattage ramp-up at the start of each fire press (may not do anything if you already run at 60W)
6. BRIGHTNESS — adjust screen brightness
7. CUT OFF — adjust the cut-off timer for the fire button (20 sec max). Once "overtime" appears during firing, there is no problem pressing the button again
8. UPDATE — for firmware flashing
9. TURN OFF DEVICE

TCR Reset & Change C/F

1. Access the main menu, select MODE
2. Select Temp
3. Select C or F
4. Set room temp (default 20C)
5. Select DYNAMIC
6. Select TCR
7. Select the TCR value — do not adjust it yet, leave as is
8. Select AUTOLOCK for a TCR reset, or USE OLD if you only changed C/F
9. AUTOLOCK will start a 10 minute timer — it should complete in around 1 minute
10. Try to remember the coil resistance value displayed. If you miss it, run through the TCR sequence again and choose USE OLD at the end to read it
11. Based on the auto-locked coil resistance, adjust your TCR value accordingly. Shortcut: on the home screen hold FIRE + UP at the same time for 5 seconds

Cleaning

1. Ensure your device is left to cool before cleaning
2. Remove the battery
3. Gently lift out the stem using a twisting motion while pulling. Be careful not to damage the stem or rubber seal
4. Twist open the bottom chamber to face the opposite way to the device
5. Pop out the chamber from the main body
6. Lift the top of the chamber
7. Each part can be cleaned with hot water or alcohol rub and a small pipe cleaner
8. Put the parts back together
