Getting Started
- Press the fire button 5 times to turn the device on or off
- When the screen is in timeout, pressing any button will turn it back on
Adjusting Temp and Wattage
- While on the home screen, clicking up / down toggles temp selection
- Adjust to your preferred temp, then press fire to enter wattage selection
- Select your preferred wattage, then press fire again to disengage
- Press the fire button 5 times on the home screen to enter the menu
- Use up / down to navigate
- MODE — selects Wattage or Temp Control mode
- CURVES — gives the option for temp curve control throughout the duration of firing
- S-BOOST — allows for a few seconds of wattage ramp-up at the start of each fire press (may not do anything if you already run at 60W)
- BRIGHTNESS — adjust screen brightness
- CUT OFF — adjust the cut-off timer for the fire button (20 sec max). Once "overtime" appears during firing, there is no problem pressing the button again
- UPDATE — for firmware flashing
- TURN OFF DEVICE
Lock / Unlock Device
Hold UP + DOWN together to lock or unlock the device.
TCR Reset & Change C/F
- Access the main menu, select MODE
- Select Temp
- Select C or F
- Set room temp (default 20C)
- Select DYNAMIC
- Select TCR
- Select the TCR value — do not adjust it yet, leave as is
- Select AUTOLOCK for a TCR reset, or USE OLD if you only changed C/F
- AUTOLOCK will start a 10 minute timer — it should complete in around 1 minute
- Try to remember the coil resistance value displayed. If you miss it, run through the TCR sequence again and choose USE OLD at the end to read it
- Based on the auto-locked coil resistance, adjust your TCR value accordingly. Shortcut: on the home screen hold FIRE + UP at the same time for 5 seconds
Estimated TCR Value Range
Estimate only — adjust to your heating style preference. Higher value = more aggressive heating.
.28XX – .29XX = 200–210
.30XX – .31XX = 190–200
.32XX – .33XX = 180–190
Cleaning
- Ensure your device is left to cool before cleaning
- Remove the battery
- Gently lift out the stem using a twisting motion while pulling. Be careful not to damage the stem or rubber seal
- Twist open the bottom chamber to face the opposite way to the device
- Pop out the chamber from the main body
- Lift the top of the chamber
- Each part can be cleaned with hot water or alcohol rub and a small pipe cleaner
- Put the parts back together
